Payroll Administrator – Skills and Experience;

  • 1+ year client/bureau payroll experience (ESSENTIAL)
  • Ability work remotely and in the office
  • Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel

Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies are seeking a competent Payroll Manager to manage and lead the payroll team based at Martlesham Heath Headquarters, near Ipswich. You will have significant experience in a similar role, managing an in-house Payroll system (integrated with HR). A payroll management qualification and experience of working in a regulated industry would also be highly beneficial.

 

Relationship building and communication skills will be a strength or yours, enabling you to build lasting and successful relationships with the external and internal stakeholders. You will need to be confident, approachable and passionate about good customer service as you will be the “local expert” for all payroll related queries.

Payroll Administrator – Suffolk

A leading Suffolk based organisation are seeking the services of a 1st class Payroller to join their busy team.


Payroll Administrator – Key responsibilities:

  • Processing end to end high-volume payroll.
  • Statutory payments – Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, PAYE and National Insurance etc.
  • Processing of Year End procedures.
  • Provide 1st line support for payroll queries.
  • Liaise with HMRC when required.
  • Process Tax Code changes.
  • Ability to process manual calculations.

 

Payroll Administrator – Qualifications: 

  • 1 year+ experience working in a busy payroll function (ideally in a payroll bureau or Chartered Accountancy)
  • Grade C and above at GCSE English & Maths.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, working within a team and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task
