The BIS seeks a Payroll Manager to join its Human Resources unit. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing the Bank’s global payroll services and ensuring the accurate and timely execution of all salary and pension payments.
You will be the point of contact for managers, staff and pensioners on all matters relating to compensation, benefits, taxes, social security, deposit accounts and retirements, providing customer-oriented service and advice as required. You will apply your strong analytical skills to come up with improvements to HR processes, working closely with IT, finance and legal functions, as well as with external vendors. You will manage the HR systems and work with software developers to implement updates, and you will also supervise the payroll officer.We would like to meet candidates with a bachelor’s degree in HR, finance or IT, as well as at least eight years of relevant work experience. You have a strong track record in providing hands-on customer service, and in advising staff of all levels on sensitive employment issues. You feel at home in a multicultural work environment. You demonstrate an excellent command of written and spoken English; fluency in German would be an advantage.
