This song was produced after being inspired following interviews with Kate Upcraft and Anita Lettink (see final verse), Vickie Graham (2nd verse), Rebecca Mullins, Ian Holloway, Ros Hendren, Max van der Klis-Busink, Stuart Hall, Richard George, Mary Holland, CIPP and many others I have worked with over the years.
Katie Sharpe then sent out a LinkedIn message emphasising #PayrollHumour and I thought – why not have some fun and write a Payroll song that explains what payroll is, what payroll professionals do and why it is not only important “but critical”! I also wanted it to show that the payroll community is also a fun, humorous, proud and hard-working industry of professionals so here is my way of celebrating that!
