The Payroll & Pensions team sits within the Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate and works closely with colleagues across all areas of the University.
We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Payroll Administrator within our Payroll Team. This is a full-time fixed-term appointment to 31 July 2023.
The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for all input and running a monthly payroll. This will entail the input of timesheets, processing New Starts and Leavers, administration of Statutory/Occupational Sick Pay and Statutory/Occupational Maternity Pay and also dealing with general day to day telephone calls and e-mails relating to Payroll.
Your priorities will include:
Inputting payroll data for new employees on monthly payrolls
Processing leavers from the University
Prepare and check data prior to input on the payroll system
Administration of Statutory/Occupational payments
Processing and checking of salary changes
Who we’re looking for:
- Previous payroll experience
- Experience of integrated HR/Payroll system
- Knowledge of current Payroll legislation
- Knowledge of current SMP/SPP/SHPP rates
- Familiarity with salary sacrifice schemes
