Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Leicester
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 p/a
 
We seek a payroll administrator with a resilient, positive, enthusiastic, and methodical mindset to work in our busy department.

You’ll have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to produce accurate, quality work while adapting to shifting priorities.

In this role, you will:

  • Process payroll before deadlines.
  • Inform stakeholders of missing data pre-deadline.
  • Guarantee accurate pension deductions per Auto-enrolment and Salary Sacrifice.
  • Enter all new/departing employee documentation.
  • Distribute P45’s, earnings statements, and other paperwork.
  • Reconcile and authorize BACS reports, summaries, analyses.
  • Transmit payroll 4 days pre-pay date for on-time direct deposits.
  • Respond to general inquiries; Assist with reconciliation and audits.
  • Help issue accurate P60’s.

Title: Payroll Specialist – 12/18 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Leicester
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 p/a

We seek a detail-oriented, experienced Payroll Specialist for a 12-18 month fixed term contract.

You will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for all employees, compliance with regulations, and confidentiality of sensitive information.

You will work in a small, busy team supporting the Payroll Manager in accurately and timely processing all compensation and benefits across multiple payrolls.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing accurate, timely employee payroll processing.
  • Ensuring full UK & US legislative compliance.
  • Maintaining and updating accurate employee records
  • Regularly auditing and reconciling payroll data, correcting discrepancies.
  • Analysing data and providing insights to support financial/managerial reporting.
  • Resolving payroll/benefit inquiries.
  • Collaborating with HR and other departments to provide excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Expert knowledge of iTrent systems administration functions.
  • Advanced understanding of UK legislation around benefits, ERS.
  • Experience with US payroll legislation and processing.
  • Skills in P11d processing using PAS.
  • Advanced Excel abilities along with manual calculation skills. (Essential)

Title: Payroll Manager
Location: Leicester
Salary: £50,000 p/a + bonus

Reporting to the HR & Payroll Shared Services Manager, you will lead your team in smoothly operating multiple payrolls with an emphasis on business partnering.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Leading a successful team by managing approvals, reviews, training, engagement, and more.
  • Accurately processing compensation while maintaining compliance.
  • Fostering positive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Guaranteeing amendments are processed properly before deadlines.
  • Reviewing reports to reconcile payroll errors/exceptions.
  • Authorizing BACS, summary reports and analyses.
  • Resolving payroll/benefit inquiries.
  • Providing excellent customer service cross-departmentally.
  • Analysing data and providing insights.
  • Submitting accurate/timely tax filings.
  • Overseeing accurate P60’s and P11d’s.
  • Continuously improving processes.
  • Partnering with IT on system upgrades.

The ideal candidate has payroll and people management experience, preferably in high-volume, shared services environments.

Additional requirements:

  • Outstanding customer service aptitude and communication skills to simplify complex information.
  • Inhouse high volume payroll experience essential.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency. Essential.
  • Experience with iTrent, Workday, complex manual calculations. Essential
  • CIPP Foundation Degree minimum.
  • US payroll and legislation expertise, BOXI reporting skills. Desirable.
