Payroll & Finance Administrator – Full Time

King’s Bruton is an HMC co-educational boarding and day school of 350 pupils aged 13-18.

We are seeking a strong Payroll & Finance administrator who has the ability to operate the payroll system accurately and efficiently, and to be responsible for administering the School’s pension schemes and HMRC responsibilities.  This post also supports the Finance Bursar in providing a professional, customer-focused Finance service for King’s Bruton School, Hazlegrove Preparatory School and Sunny Hill Nursery.

We welcome applications from people with previous payroll experience who are confident to challenge as and when necessary. Working in a supportive environment, you will have good numeracy and IT skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.

This is a full-time post, working 8:30am-4:30pm Monday – Friday, based at King’s School, Bruton and offers a competitive salary with benefits.

Wells Cathedral School seeks to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to join a busy team who will be responsible for our 3 payrolls (currently using WCBS Payroll Plus software). The post requires exceptional organisation and communication skills with a ‘can do’ attitude, together with a willingness to go above and beyond. The successful candidate will ensure that the payroll database holds accurate data, including pay rates, personal details, PAYE/NI and other statutory body details and will line manage the day-to-day responsibility and tasks of our Payroll Assistant.

A Payroll-related qualification such as CIPP, experience of working with a Payroll database and working knowledge of P11D administration and calculation are essential for this role.
