In this post you will manage a team responsible for treasury management, payroll (client side), insurance, car leasing functions, completion of government returns and financial accounting. You will be the lead officer for closure the accounts, VAT, capital accounting, collection fund and the WGA.
You will be responsible for bank reconciliations, housing rent & leaseholder reconciliations, and managing the banking and payroll contracts as well as ensuring that all Government returns are completed accurately and on time.
Educated to degree level or with relevant experience of working within this environment, you will ideally be a member of an appropriate professional body (CCAB) or have equivalent professional experience.
This role will be a good career progression for someone who is looking for the next step in their career or who have previous experience of supporting the closure of accounts process for a large multi-disciplinary organisation to enable the production of compliant Statutory Statement of Accounts by due deadlines without qualification.
Up-to-date working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and core disciplines of work area including IFRS and the Code of Practice on Local Government Accounts, and an understanding of treasury management is also needed for this post.

Payroll Specialist (will train in EMEA) – Hertfordshire – £45000 + 15% Bonus
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced UK Payroll Specialist to train into EMEA payroll with a Hertfordshire based global company who are expanding through acquisition.
Working closely with HR you will be responsible for processing a small UK payroll and EMEA payroll regions including France, Italy, Spain and Belgium via ADP. You will liaise with payroll bureau vendors, generate payroll / reconciliation reports on a monthly basis, deal with payroll queries and benefit administration.
The successful applicant will have a good depth of UK payroll expertise (any knowledge of EMEA payroll an advantage) with good customer service skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
