PwC UK works with clients to help them define and implement their Global Payroll Strategy. This can be a wide-ranging piece of work covering streamlining of payroll processes, vendor consolidation, BAU analysis and most aspects of payroll.

We currently implement Workday, Oracle and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and have recently formed an alliance with Ceridian to implement their Dayforce Payroll solution.

As part of our growth plans in the payroll consulting market, we are now looking for an experienced Senior Manager to help drive our payroll services forward.

Grade and compensation dependant on experience

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Ability to lead a team
· Proactively manage stakeholder relationships with payroll providers and clients
· Experience of full payroll lifecycle from project management, requirements gathering and implementation
· Ability to solve complex payroll issues
· Strong understanding of the main global payroll providers
· Experience of drafting payroll solution RFPs for clients
· Ability to draft a global payroll strategy for a client demonstrating our breadth of knowledge of the global payroll marketplace
· A good understanding of potential payroll models – in house, outsourced, fully managed and the advantages and disadvantages of each
· Up to date knowledge of payroll compliance and legislation issues
· Ability to lead an RFP response from a client working under tight deadlines
· Ensuring any risks to the BAU payroll cycle are identified and mitigated, including additional controls and lessons learnt.

Preferred skills

· Experience of working with and managing relationships with a broad range of payroll providers
· Experience of working with large/complex payrolls
· Strong relationship management skills
· Resilient under pressure, able to deliver under tight deadlines and manage a varied workload
· Self-starter, happy to work without supervision as well as part of a team
· Skilled in evaluating and analysing payroll activities
· Comfortable with complexity and able to explain complex issues/concepts in a simple way
· Able to communicate effectively with a variety of people across all levels of seniority and technical experience
· Payroll management certification
· Excellent presentation skills
· Advanced PowerPoint skills
